Gnome Desktop and ancient X-Chat on TV show Jericho

Just watched an episode of TV show Jericho and noticed a familiar desktop environment on a laptop being shown in the show:

I'm pretty sure it's Gnome with X-Chat version 1.6.3 and an open terminal reading tim@localhost.localdomain /home/tim.

Besides the fact that it's nice to see an Open Source Desktop Environment on Television where often only Mac OS or Windows are shown off - why the hell did they use such an old X-Chat version?

Okay, I should edit that one. Already this far again, that I don't distinguish between English and German texts and just comment in whatever... well yeah... whatever. Almost a miracle that I didnt mix them while writing it. Andererseits verstehst du eh beides, also who cares.
